Arlene Samen, Executive Director

Ms. Samen has extensive experience in volunteer health activities throughout the developing world, including seven consecutive years involvement in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). She has worked as a nurse practitioner with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division at the University of Utah's Health Sciences Center, from 1993 to 2004, providing care for a wide variety of pregnancy complications while actively participating in Divisional and National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Maternal Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network research protocols. Ms. Samen lives in the TAR four months out of the year to oversee all aspects of One H.E.A.R.T.'s projects.
